I’m Staci Ballard, a Licensed Psychologist with a background in School Psychology. I hold an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where I received clinical training in public and therapeutic day school settings. In addition, I have experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings. I have experience conducting individual and group therapy, as well as comprehensive diagnostic and special education evaluations.
I am passionate about providing clinical services in school-based settings to students experiencing a wide range of anxiety, trauma, depressive, and externalizing symptoms. My therapeutic approach primarily stems from a cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approach, often incorporating elements of play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to best meet students’ individual needs at their developmental level. I take an ecological systems lens to treatment, collaborating with teachers and parents in developing and implementing interventions to generalize treatment outcomes outside the therapy room.
